Program Overview
The BCEF is a distinguished nationwide leadership development program for Black faith leaders committed to advancing congregation-based programmatic initiatives that promote LGBTQ+ inclusion. Selected Black faith-leaders will receive a $4,000 grant, 1-on-1 consulting support, ongoing learning opportunities, and two all-expenses-paid trips to Chicago for mandatory cohort convenings. At the end of the fellowship, participants will be equipped to act as bridge-builders and faith-based social justice advocates in their church and their communities.

Two All-expenses-paid, Chicago-based Cohort Convenings (March and November)
Virtual Cohort Convenings in April, May, June, August, September
All Black Christian Congregations in the United States are eligible to apply.

Absolutely! If senior leaders in your church supports your project, we invite you to apply. We will provide you with the skills and tools to have LGBTQ+ affirming conversations across lines of difference.

No. Grantees will apply through their local church. No grants funds or checks will be addressed to individuals.
