Why should I participate?

As Christians, we believe in the power of storytelling. The very essence of our faith is rooted in the story of Jesus— man who liberated the oppressed, cared for the poor, and advocated for the marginalized. Your story, too, has the ability to provide hope, healing, and comfort to those who hear it. It can also be the path by which you heal from religious bigotry and honor your journey toward self-love. 

How can I participate?

• Sign up for 1:1 interview

• Submit your story via the uploading of a 5 minutes or less video

• Submit your story via written form 

• Submit your story anonymously

How long will the 1:1 Zoom interviews be?

The interview will last approximately one hour via Zoom. 

Will my answers be confidential?

YES! We will only share your story if we receive your explicit permission. Otherwise, it will remain confidential.

Will I be compensated for my time?

Unfortunately, we are unable to compensate everyone who shares their story with us. However, we will compensate the first 66 people who sign up for 1:1 Zoom interviews as a token of our appreciation.

I am not queer. How can I help?

Spread the word! Donate to our GoFundMe, follow us on social media, and sign our ally pledge. Although you are not eligible to be interviewed, we welcome your support.

What will you do with the interview?

Based on the insights gained from the interviews conducted, we will launch new intiattives with a focus of meeting the needs of Black queer Christian communities and educating Black Churches.
